John Cena recently appeared on The Club Shay Shay podcast, where he said multiple things about his acting and wrestling career. Answering one of the questions by Shay John Cena, Roman Reigns was declared the GOAT in WWE.
John Cena said he has respect for all the superstars in WWE, but he has picked Roman over The Rock and wrestling legends like Ric Flair as the greatest of all time in WWE.
John Cena’s Respect for Lengends
During the podcast, Cena mentioned that having careers like Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair isn’t an easy task, and he respects them a lot. John Cena also mentioned that the sacrifices Ric made during his career cannot be unseen by us.
While mentioning Ric, Cena also mentioned that Roman’s contribution to the company has been phenomenal over the years.
Cena thinks Roman Reigns is the WWE GOAT
While referring to Roman Reigns being the greatest of all time, Cena said that Roman made his debut in WWE in 2012 with the shield, and from that day until today he has been in the main events and has represented the company for almost a decade.
Cena also mentioned that the popularity and success Roman has achieved are unreal and unmatchable.
The Rock vs Roman Reigns
While talking about the Rock, Cena mentioned that Rock was the face of the WWE during the 1990s and the impact he created was phenomenal, but the impact Roman Reigns has created in WWE over the past few years has surpassed The Rock, as per Cena’s opinion.
Cena also mentioned that Roman’s presence in the company has raised its stock value too, thanks to the character of his tribal chief.
Cena mentioned that he respects all the achievements of The Rock but thinks that Roman and his current leadership in WWE are more impactful, and hence he considers Roman to be the GOAT of WWE rather than The Rock.
