Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox in early 2026, which was originally released for PS5 and PC only.
It’s been over 4 years since the launch of the game, and now it’s making its way to Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox on PC.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade was released in 2024 on PS4 with the start of a new trilogy, which will reimagine the story of Cloud Strife.
Integrade surpassed the original remake; the reason for it is the inclusion of the Intermission DLC that had Ninja Yuffie Kisaragi.
This DLC will be included in the Switch 2 and Xbox versions of the game, along with a new feature specially for these platforms named “Streamlined Progression.”
New Feature Streamlined Progression Details

The new streamlined progression brings new options to make your gameplay easier, and you can enjoy the game with less difficulty.
The major options of this new progression feature includeÂ
- Constant maxed HP/MP
- Possessing the maximum number of each item at all times (with exceptions)
- 9999 damage dealt to enemies with every hit.
All these options of streamlined progression can be turned on or off as per your choice to make the gameplay easier or harder, allowing you the flexibility to enjoy the game the way you want.
The game director, Naoki Hamaguchi, made this decision so that different players with different lifestyles and different playing styles can enjoy the game.
While talking more about this, he said, “I have also had personal experiences where I wanted to play something with the limited time I have, but gave up because of the time it takes to level up characters or traverse the game,” but that’s not the case as the new feature benefits users by allowing them to adjust the game as per their time availability and interest.
Square Enix added that the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy will come to Switch 2 and Xbox, which will include Fantasy VII Rebirth and the last game (in development at the moment) in the near future.
