Dave Bautista on His Wrestling Career & Weight Loss

Dave Bautista, also known as The Animal in WWE, had a great wrestling career that stood over decades, and now he is pursuing acting in Hollywood.

In an interview recently, Dave revealed his journey from a hectic schedule of WWE to a light schedule of acting transition.

Bautista also revealed about his weight loss journey, which helped him to be the lightest after he was 19 years old.

During the interview the former WWE superstar revealed that he currently weighs 240 lbs which is his most lightiest weight since he was 19 years old. Bautista mentioned that he now follows a specific diet to get into shape.

Bautista mentioned that during his most heaviest he weighed around 370 lbs, and during his recent movie character of Knock at the Cabin, he transformed himself for 315 lbs. 

Dave said that the process of losing weight wasn’t that easy, but now he has made himself more lean and feels more confident in himself than on the heavier days.

Dave spoke about his on-screen chemistry

Apart from WWE, Dave Bautista also mentioned his movies and co-stars. And while speaking about co-star Dave mentioned that his chemistry was superb with the co-star as they have different preparations and various conversations on the phone to develop that bonding between themselves.

Dave also believes that he and his co-star both have a similar physical background, which made them comfortable working with each other.

While talking about his wrestling career, Dave revealed that his match at WrestleMania 35 against Triple H was his last match in the wrestling career. He also mentioned that he didn’t want this news to be public; that’s why he hasn’t announced it so far.

Dave thinks that he has left the wrestling ring at the right time in his career, and it was completely his decision to say good bye to the wrestling industry and join hands with the acting career.

Dave Bautista also mentioned that WWE has approached him for the Hall of Fame induction, but due to his tight schedule and work commitments, he couldn’t get that honor.

But he mentioned that he is open for this honor and looks forward in the future for WWE to induct him as the Hall of Famer in the coming WrestleMania.
