After months of rumors and leaks, Ubisoft revealed that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will launch on December 2 on Switch 2.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Nintendo Switch 2 Release Date
Definitely it’s not a big surprise for the Switch 2 fans, but now Ubisoft has announced December 2 as the official launch date of the game on the platform.
The visuals and gameplay of the game look pretty impressive if we consider the first trailer of the Switch 2 version of the game, set in feudal Japan.

Like the Switch 2 port of Star Wars Outlaws, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is likely to have good visuals despite being a high-end game on Switch 2’s less supreme hardware.
Charles Benoit, the Assassin’s Creed Shadows director, said, “We are delighted to bring Assassin’s Creed Shadows to Nintendo players. Whether slipping through the shadows as Naoe or facing foes head-on as Yasuke, players will be able to roam the streets and rooftops of feudal Japan at home or anywhere their journey takes them on Nintendo Switch 2.”
Major Features of AC Shadows Switch 2 Version
The Switch 2 version of the game will come with all the updates that the game has had since its launch.
With this, the game will also support cross progression across platforms.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will come with touchscreen support for all menus of the game; the controller support will still be present.
There’s bad news for the Assassin’s Creed fans, as the latest released Claws of Awaji expansion won’t be available for Switch 2 until early next year.
