The NXT vs. TNA showdown is set for next Tuesday, October 7 where we’ll have some big matches, including the clash between the men’s and women’s teams of both brands in a Survivor Series-style format.
The special show will air live on The CW network for US fans and on Netflix for international audiences from 8 PM ET.
From the side of TNA, Santino Marella announced Mike Santana as captain of the TNA men’s team and Kelani Jordan as captain of the women’s team of the promotion.
NXT’s GM Ava revealed Ricky Saints as the men’s captain and Jacy Jayne as the women’s captain for NXT.

NXT vs. TNA Event Name Change
Originally the name for the NXT vs. TNA clash was announced to be “Invasion,” but now the name has changed to Showdown.
The reason for it is the international tension from Israel, as the event’s date was colliding with the 2023 Hamas attacks on Israel.
So WWE decided to better back off from this title name and rename their event as “Showdown.”
With the Survivor Series-type match stipulation, excitement levels are extremely high among fans of both brands.
