The storylines for the first-ever two-night SummerSlam PLE are shaping up well, as Punk and Gunther and Drew and Randy have started new, fresh rivalries in WWE.
Today, we’re here with 6 WWE SummerSlam 2025 card predictions based on the latest developments in WWE.
Scheduled on August 2 and 3 at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, the event will start from 6 PM ET onwards on both days.
6 WWE SummerSlam 2025 Card Predictions
We have predicted a total of 6 matches for the PLE, which are:
1) Gunther vs. CM Punk: WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match
Punk, after losing against Cena at Night of Champions, has fired up and is chasing Seth, but during a recent interaction, Gunther tried to disrespect Punk, for which he faced a push from the Best in the World.
This scenario could lead to a title match between Punk and Gunther at SummerSlam 2025, as Seth might contribute more with his new faction for the PLE.
2) Tiffany Stratton vs. Jade Cargill: WWE Women’s Championship Match
Tiffany will likely be the champion as she walks into the first-ever Two-Night Summerslam event.
Jade, being the Queen of the Ring, will face Tiffany for the women’s title at the biggest party of the summer.
3) Randy Orton vs. Drew McIntyreÂ
Drew, after injury, has finally made a comeback and got a great welcome from Randy via an RKO as he tried to break the rhythm of The Viper during a chat with Cody Rhodes.
Randy, with no other worthy opponent, could opt to face Drew McIntyre for a special stipulation match at SummerSlam, which is what I think.
4) Jacob Fatu, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa, JC Mateo, Tala Tonga, and Tonga Loa: 8-Man Tag Team Match
Another big match for the Two Nights of Summerslam event could take place between the teams of Jacob and Solo Sikoa.
Jacob teaming with Roman, Jimmy, and Jey could lead to a Bloodline match for which we have been waiting for a long time.
Solo’s bloodline 2.0 with Tala Tonga, Tonga Loa, and JC Mateo could deliver a tough fight to their challengers.
This match is more of a dream match, but if it happens, then the sky is the limit in terms of viewership.
5) John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes: Undisputed WWE Championship Match
John Cena, after beating Punk, is waiting for his next opponent, who’ll be none other than Cody Rhodes.
Cody’s babyface persona doesn’t fit much, and Cena, despite being a heel, gets huge recognition from the audience.
This scenario hints at another successful title defence by the Greatest WWE Champ of All Time.
6) Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair vs. The Bella Twins: WWE Women’s World Tag Team Championship Match
Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair are predicted to win the Women’s Tag Team titles in the absence of Liv Morgan.
If this happens, a challenge by the veteran Bella Twins for the tag titles could elevate the hype for the event.
